Slow Going

The Candle Flame Scarf that is. I like the pattern and the colors. I like the way the colors are pooling a bit. Overall it reminds me of, well, candle flames. The size 2 needles and the error on the lace chart have me slightly less enthralled. After a hair pulling evening of ripping, knitting, and reknitting, I (finally) checked the website for pattern errors. Apparently, Knitpicks corrected the error and posted it on their errata page, but not on the pattern on the lace page. I emailed them and they tell me they are getting the correct version in all areas. I can't complain that much, it's a good pattern, especially for free.

I've got about 1 and 1/3 repeats done of I-don't-even-want-to-know how-many. This one has to be done by June 18th and the Tuscany shawl by the 22nd. If you need me, I'll be knitting like a mad woman while my kids turn into zombies watching Spongebob while eating poptarts.

It looks really pretty. Love the colors! Did I warn you about the size 2 needles? Why, yes, I think I did. ;) LOL

Dani, I love those colors. Personally, I am not a fan of self-striping yarn; I much prefer when it clumps or pools like it's doing there. Size 2 needles? Nuh-uh, nothankyouverymuch. It looks beautiful, but admiring yours is the closest I will ever come to a project with size 2 needles. LOL!

It's looking beautiful! I love the colors - but you are brave to be using such small needles.
